The staff of the HVAC wholesale company Dahl Finland Oy have been visiting Peace and Privacy's destinations since 2019. Their recurring choice has been the Aulanko Grand Villa, which CEO Jari Mikkonen describes as excellent for hosting management team conferences or other team meetings with 10-20 participants. The facilities at the Räyskälä Grand Villa have also become familiar to Dahl's staff.
“In these large villas, there is ample space for conferences, and we find the price range suitable for us. Our guideline is not to seek excessive luxury but to prioritise functional facilities with good outdoor recreational options nearby. In the winter, the Lake Aulangonjärvi skiing trails are our favourite,” describes Jari Mikkonen.
The change in corporate conference culture is also evident in the daily life of Dahl Finland, as the company has discontinued monthly in-person meetings for the management team, which are now conducted via Teams. Instead, they prioritise longer conferences that last overnight. Mikkonen considers the villas of Peace and Privacy to be conveniently located for these long conferences held a couple of times a year.
“Typically, people come from all over Finland, so Aulanko in Hämeenlinna is located conveniently in the middle and has good transportation connections. Additionally, it’s good that the villa is remote enough that the group prefers to stay together at the villa even after the official programme, rather than dispersing to city restaurants.”
While mandatory work-related matters can be handled at the office or on Teams, Mikkonen emphasises the importance of continuing to organise meetings that combine work and relaxed togetherness in the future.
