Peace and Privacy's Evo Peace villa complex has been the meeting place for a nationwide singles Facebook group on several occasions. Anu Paasio from Riihimäki, who organises events for the group, says that by autumn 2023, the three villas of Evo Peace have already hosted six of their meetings.
“The group has more than 5 000 members, and the first 50 people to register are admitted to the meetings. The meetings are so popular that the waiting list is always filled up quickly and, in the event of cancellations, the list is immediately replenished,” says Anu Paasio.
The singles group Rennot sinkut +35 (Casual singles +35) is, as its name suggests, intended for adult singles. The meetings are attended not only by regulars members but also by new participants. People have come to Evo, Hämeenlinna from as far as 6 hours away.
“Evo Peace suits us really well, because it is such a relaxed place where we can be ourselves,” Paasio remarks.
Evo Peace’s relaxed singles’ programme includes sauna bathing, lots of fun activities, and cooking together, for which the villas’ four kitchens provide excellent facilities. During Christmas season, the villas have also been visited by Santa Claus, who has distributed the gifts that the participants have brought for each other.
As to how many of the participants have arrived at Evo single and left in a relationship, Anu Paasio reveals that there has definitely been some pairing.
“Yes, people have ended up getting married through our meetings. Our group is for over 35-year-olds, because it offers like-minded company for adults, many of whom have already experienced a break-up in their lives and know how difficult it can be to find a new relationship.”
