Evo Nature Ltd. brings the wilderness close to you

It all began at Evo Ruuhijärvi, Syväjärvi, and an offer made to Metsähallitus, the Finnish Forest Administration. A corporate executive had grown tired of their job as a CEO in the ICT sector and decided to stake everything on renting two wilderness destinations for nature tourism. When the offer was accepted, he could finally leave his old job behind – and thus, Evo Nature Ltd. was born.

Today, a decade later, Evo Nature Ltd. is a steadily growing family business in the tourism and accommodation industry, with its core in unique and wilderness-themed lodging and conference spaces, surrounded by the tranquility of nature.

Despite their nature-oriented and exceptionally peaceful locations, over 20 multipurpose villas are situated within the Helsinki-Turku-Tampere triangle, so that approximately 4 million Finns live within a 2-hour driving distance.

All of our locations are no more than 150 kilometres from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, and that’s where the essence of our business lies: our villas are far from everything yet still surprisingly close.

Peace and privacy – with 25 years of experience

Since the countryside cannot be brought into the city, our locations attract urban dwellers to the countryside. Peace and privacy are now more valued than ever, and they are desired in both business events and private celebrations and vacations of our customers.

That is the demand we want to respond to.

All of our destinations offer our diverse clientele a private and nature-oriented setting — away from the crowds, but still close to the busiest cities in Finland.

The foundation of our growth is the 25 years of experience of our entrepreneurs in the tourism, accommodation, and conference industry. Our international customers are familiar with our multifunctional villas under the brand name Peace and Privacy, www.peaceandprivacy.travel.

We want to be everything that international public companies are not

Evo Nature Ltd. aims to be a strong pioneer in Finnish nature-based tourism and accommodation while also leading the way in modern circular economy practices.

We want to be everything that international public companies are not. Our goal is to put food on the table as well as the condiments – not only for ourselves but also for our employees. We don’t hoard profits in bank accounts but reinvest margins back into our growing business.

It’s clear to us that our business grows and evolves chiefly on the terms of Finnish nature. We want to offer competitive and environmentally friendly local travel options that don’t require people to fly thousands of kilometres away in order to enjoy them.

There is so much to explore in our home country – and our destinations are textbook examples of that.

A more sustainable holiday is at homeland

Everyone is talking about it – the carbon footprint of travel, sustainability, and responsibility.

We can proudly say that the carbon footprint of local travel is small. Enjoying nature closer to home doesn’t require long-haul flights, but for us, responsibility is more than empty words on the pages of a sustainability report.

We have the enthusiasm and the skill to renovate old buildings and breathe new life into them. Instead of always building something new, we restore the old. This way, historic buildings are transformed into modern multipurpose villas that cater to the needs of nature tourism and accommodation businesses – while also increasing the appeal of small towns.

Many guests in our multipurpose villas buy food from local merchants or meals from local catering services, burn firewood brought to our sites by local forest owners, and order programme and experience services through us from nearby businesses. This way, the goodwill spreads even further.

In the vicinity of our destinations, there are countless nature trails where you can experience local wonders of nature. We provide opportunities to enjoy nature through activities like kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding.

We encourage our guests to remember hiking etiquette, because Finnish wilderness deserves all the respect we can give.

More local travel, new ways to work

During our first decade of operation, Evo Nature Ltd. and our ‘Peace and Privacy’ concept have contributed to creating a new kind of demand for travel and accommodation. This is something we want to continue to promote in the future.

We believe that in the post-pandemic world, consumer demand for local travel continues to increase, and the places for business conferences, events, and work will continue to evolve.

We believe that the tranquil and private environments offered by our destinations will become even more valuable in the future, as the desire for crowded places diminishes and attitudes towards mass tourism change.

That’s why we will continue to search for nature-based and remote locations, where we can provide our customers with the peace and privacy they require.

We work to fulfil that goal. Every day.
